Le concert de CYPRESS HILL du 21 mai 2025 à l’Agora du Port de Québec a marqué un retour triomphal du groupe hip-hop californien dans la vieille capitale. Dans le cadre de leur tournée canadienne O Canadabis, ils étaient accompagnés de DE LA SOUL et THE PHARCYDE, offrant une soirée dédiée aux amateurs de rap/hip-hop old school.
L’AGORA, ce bel amphithéâtre extérieur situé dans le Vieux-Québec et qui offre un cadre spectaculaire avec une vue imprenable sur le fleuve Saint-Laurent et la vieille ville, a ouvert son écrin pour nous présenter sa perle : une soirée chaude et fumante!

Le public, composé de fans de longue date et de nouveaux venus, a répondu présent en grand nombre, créant une atmosphère électrique. Les portes ont ouvert à 18 h, et le spectacle a débuté à 19 h 30, comme prévu. À notre arrivée, la file s’étirait sur le quai, malgré une température plutôt froide pour la saison.La soirée a commencé avec les performances de deux légendes : THE PHARCYDE a excellé à réchauffer la scène et la foule malgré un froid de canard. Suivi par DE LA SOUL dont on a pu entendre Stakes Is High et Me Myself and I. Leur set a été salué par le public, qui a apprécié les classiques du groupe.

C’est DJ Lord qui est arrivé sous les cris de la foule réunie, et qui s’est écrié : « Quebbeeec, what’s that COLD ?

Et il nous part ça avec une intro qui envoie de la chaleur, et c’était parfait, car le soleil étant couché, la température perd encore quelques degrés. Mais les fans n’en avaient rien à faire, Cypress est en ville et on leur fait un bruyant et chaleureux accueil. À noter que la foule n’était pas homogène et était composée de fans de tous âges et de styles : metal, punk, goth, etc. Car c’est ça, CYPRESS HILL : une musique qui réunit et qui fait vibrer la fibre musicale d’amateurs de tous genres. Le bonheur d’être là a été évident pour le quatuor Sen Real, d’Eric Bobo et de B-Real et d’un DJ Lord se démenant comme un diable sur sa console.

Un des moments phares demeure quand B-Real bien en voix, crie « Quebec ! It is « cold as f*ck » » juste avant Jump Around devant une foule qui en voulait et en redemandait. Nous vous laissons en juger : Jump Around

Le concert de CYPRESS HILL et de leurs invités à Québec a été un événement mémorable, alliant des performances de qualité et une réelle ambiance festive sous le couvert d’un énorme nuage de « fumée » qui planait en permanence sur le site.

Les fans ont pu revivre les classiques de chacun des groupes dans un cadre unique, marquant ainsi le début de la saison des concerts extérieurs à l’Agora du Port de Québec.

CYPRESS HILL‘s May 21, 2025 concert at l’Agora du Port de Québec marked a triumphant return of the Californian hip-hop group to the old capital. As part of their Canadian O Canadabis tour, they were joined by DE LA SOUL and THE PHARCYDE, offering an evening dedicated to fans of old-school rap/hip-hop.

L’Agora, the beautiful outdoor amphitheater in Old Quebec, offering a spectacular setting with a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River and the old town, has opened its jewel box to present us with a hot, smoky evening!
The audience, made up of long-time fans and newcomers alike, turned out in droves, creating an electric atmosphere. Doors opened at 6 p.m., and the show started at 7:30 p.m., as planned. By the time we arrived, the line was stretching out on the dock, despite the unseasonably chilly temperatures.

The evening began with performances by two legends: THE PHARCYDE excelled at warming up the stage and the crowd despite the bitter cold. Shout Out Followed by DE LA SOUL, featuring Stakes Is High and Me Myself and I. Their set was hailed by the audience, who enjoyed the band’s classics.

And he did so with a heat-inducing intro, which was perfect, as the sun had set and the temperature was still dropping a few degrees. But the fans couldn’t care less, Cypress was in town and they were given a warm, noisy welcome. It’s worth noting that the crowd was not homogeneous, and was made up of fans of all ages and styles: metal, punk, goth and so on.Because that’s what CYPRESS HILL is all about: music that unites and thrills fans of all genres.The joy of being there was obvious to the quartet; Sen Real, Eric Bobo, B-Real and a DJ Lord struggling like a demon on his console.
One of the highlights is when B-Real, in full voice, shouts “Quebec!It is ‘cold as f*ck’” just before Jump Around in front of a crowd that wanted and wanted more.You be the judge: Jump Around

The CYPRESS HILL and guests concert in Quebec City was a memorable event, combining quality performances and a real party atmosphere under the cover of a huge cloud of “smoke” that hovered permanently over the site.

Fans were able to relive the classics of each band in a unique setting, marking the start of the outdoor concert season at the Agora du Port de Québec.
