Quelle belle gang se trouvait à L’Anti ce mardi 21 février!

LES SHIRLEY et THE BEACHES étaient là pour nous faire bouger et nous réchauffer alors que l’hiver nous gèle encore les yeux. Comme des rayons de soleil, parfois durs mais aussi doux, elles ont donné un show à la hauteur de nos attentes, qu’on soit dans une petite salle locale ou sur une grande scène de festival. L’Anti était déjà à pleine capacité pour accueillir d’abord LES SHIRLEY, un groupe qu’il me tardait de voir depuis que j’en entends parler et, je n’ai pas été déçue! Même si les fans sont restés plutôt tranquilles au début, les dames sur scène ont su transmettre leur fougue et leur énergie dans la bonne humeur, Raphaëlle (la SHIRLEY voix et guitare) encourageant une petite séance de bodysurfing et, plus tard, pour rester dans le thème de la plage, un passage dans la foule pour Leandra, guitariste-claviériste des BEACHES.

Ensemble, ce power trio et ces quatre filles dans le vent ont ramené leurs fans (de tous âges) à une belle époque insouciante où n’importaient que les amis et la musique.

L’Anti was the place to be in great company last Tuesday night!

THE SHIRLEY and THE BEACHES were there to get us moving and warm us up as the winter is still freezing our butts. Like rays of sunshine, sometimes harsh but also soft, they gave a show that lived up to our expectations, be it in a small local venue or the stage of a big festival. L’Anti was already at full capacity to first welcome THE SHIRLEY, a band I was looking forward to see since I’ve first heard about them and I was not disappointed! Even if the fans were rather quiet at the beginning, the ladies on stage were able to share their verve and energy all in a good mood – with Raphaëlle (the SHIRLEY on voice and guitar) encouraging a little bodysurfing session and, later, to keep with the beach theme, a dip into the crowd for Leandra (guitar and keyboard) of the BEACHES. Together, this power trio and these four uptown girls took their fans of all ages back to a carefree time when all that mattered was friends and music.
