Par où commencer à expliquer un lundi soir de goth mélodique après un mini roadtrip et une trop courte nuit? Il n’y a pas de mot ou d’énergie épargnée, seulement de bons frissons. Ironique quand vous avez survécu à la tournée Trinity Of Terror.

ATREYU
Enfin heureuse de voir en la nouvelle itération de ce groupe de bons vivants. Avec un accueil chaleureux qui semblait surprendre même les membres du groupe, ils étaient prêts à conquérir les fans… qui étaient déjà vendus.

Le chanteur Brandon Saller a même fait une petite promenade à l’arrière du parterre et des sections latérales pour faire des « high five » et se rapprocher de tout le monde! Le groupe a préparé sa setlist en incluant toutes les époques musicales, y compris « Ex’s and Oh’s », jusqu’à la récente « Baptize ». Avec toute cette énergie, la foule était préparée pour la suite.

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE
Étonnamment les premiers de cette trinité de la soirée, à avoir apporté le visuel créatif, les émotions vives et une sorte d’électricité gothique à la foule massive. Soutenant les cinq musiciens sur scène, deux membres du groupe de chorégraphie CHERRY BOMBS ont donné vie aux chansons les plus populaires en utilisant leur corps pour produire des étincelles pendant « Sign Of Life ». Un hommage touchant à la communauté LGBTQ + avec « Voices » a renforcé leur message de ne pas craindre de montrer qui vous êtes.

ICE NINE KILLS
Rien n’a été négligé pour cette performance bien huilée, c’était un festin visuel digne de Horrorwood. Les écrans DEL géants affichaient un design coloré et actif, et le look esthétique des membres du groupe correspondait parfaitement à leur façon de raconter. Tout semblait aller à grande vitesse, les chansons s’enchaînant en donnant peu de temps pour respirer. Le chanteur Spencer Charnas dépensait son énergie à sauter et à se déplacer autour de la scène et dans la foule très réceptive. Chaque chanson avait son histoire et ses accessoires de scène : du clown de It avec « It Is The End » à la finale de Freddy avec « American Nightmare ».

BLACK VEIL BRIDES
Après tous les divertissements musicaux précédents, BLACK VEIL BRIDES ont gardé leur prestation plus simple : du rouge et du noir comme éclairages et couleurs de la scène. Le groupe est resté fidèle à son image sombre. Mais toujours avec une bonne énergie, ils ont couru d’une partie de la scène à l’autre en livrant 11 chansons avec lourdeur et passion. Polissant leur look glam metal, le quintette nous a laissé de bons souvenirs, entre autres quand le guitariste Jinxx a joué du violon pendant « Shadows Rise » et quand la foule a chanté « In The End ». Ce fut une fin en douceur pour cette soirée de lundi loin d’être comme les autres.

Where to start when you want to tell about a melodic goth Monday night after a short roadtrip and a short night? There is no word or energy left, only good vibes. Ironic when you’ve survived The Trinity Of Terror tour.

Atreyu
I’m finally happy to see live the new iteration of this happy-go-lucky loud band. With a warm welcome that seemed to surprise even the band members, they were ready to conquer the fans… who were already sold. Singer Brandon Saller even took a little walk to the back of the floor and side sections to give high fives and get closer to everyone! The band prepared their setlist with all eras in mind including “Ex’s and Oh’s”, including the latest, “Baptize”. With all that energy going, the venue was prepared for what was next.

Motionless In White
Surprisingly the first of the night’s trinity, they brought the creative visuals, the naked emotions and some kind of goth electricity to the massive crowd. Supporting the five musicians on stage, two performers from the CHERRY BOMBS troupe helped to give life to the most popular songs, like using their body to produce sparks during “Sign Of Life”. A touching tribute to the LGBTQ+ community with “Voices” reinforced their message of not being afraid to be who you are.

Ice Nine Kills
Their well-oiled performance did not leave anything out – it was a visual feast worthy of Horrowood. The giant LED screens displayed colourful and active designs, and the aesthetic looks of the band members fit perfectly with the storytelling they are delivering. Everything seemed to be going at high speed, with songs played back to back and only a short time to breathe in between. Singer Spencer Charnas put all his energy in jumping and moving around the stage and into the very receptive crowd. Every song had its story and stage props, from the clown from “It” for “It Is The End” to Freddy as an “American Nightmare” finale.

Black Veil Brides
Following these different entertainments, BLACK VEIL BRIDES kept their performance simpler: with red and black as the go-to lighting and stage colours, the band stayed true to its dark image. But still with good energy, they ran from one side of the stage to the other, delivering 11 songs with loudness and passion. Polishing their glam metal look, the quintet left us with good memories, including guitar player Jinxx playing violin during “Shadows Rise” and the crowd chanting during “In The End”. This gently concluded a far from being monotonous  Monday night.
