Le 21 février 2026, le Centre Bell a replongé dans les années 90’s du skate-pop-punk. THE OFFSPRING était de passage avec sa tournée SUPERCHARGED Worldwide, accompagné de BAD RELIGION.
Que ce soit au parterre ou dans les gradins, la foule était déchaînée, avec une capacité de 21 000 places, il n’y avait aucun siège vide au Centre Bell. Les deux formations californiennes étaient attendues avec impatience, et l’enthousiasme du public était à la hauteur de l’événement.
BAD RELIGION
Le groupe a lancé la soirée avec « Recipe for Hate », suivi de « Them and Us », puis « Los Angeles Is Burning », donnant immédiatement le ton à la soirée.
Fidèle à son style rapide et incisif, la formation californienne a offert au public un répertoire solide de 19 de ses plus grands succès. Pendant plus d’une heure, les pionniers du punk ont enchaîné les morceaux, sans pause. Classiques incontournables, hymnes engagés et refrains repris en chœur par les fans. La précision musicale, les harmonies vocales impeccables et l’énergie brute sur scène ont rappelé pourquoi BAD RELIGION demeure une référence punk incontournable!
C’est avec le classique « American Jesus » qu’ils ont tiré leurs révérence, offrant au public un dernier moment puissant, repris en chœur par les fans. Avant de quitter la scène, le bassiste Jay Bentley a tenu à adresser un message de remerciement à la foule montréalaise. Un au revoir simple, mais chargé de gratitude, qui a conclu en beauté une solide performance et à une prestation punk magistrale!
UN NOUVEL ALBUM EN PRÉPARATION?
OUI! La formation est en studio depuis février 2025 pour enregistrer un nouvel album. Qui sera successeur de AGE OF UNREASON (2019) mais il n’y a pas de date de sortie officielle!

THE OFFSPRING
Le groupe frappe fort, 40 ans de chaos en 1h46. Ils ont lancé la soirée avec « Come Out and Play », et dès les premières notes, le public a explosé. Ensuite, ils ont enchaîné avec « All I Want », « Want You Bad », « Looking Out for #1 » enchaînant les succès les uns après les autres. Au début du morceau « Hammerhead », deux énormes squelettes bleus occupaient chaque coin de la scène, évoquant la pochette de l’album SUPERCHARGED, apportant une solide esthétique à la scène.
Quand le punk célèbre les icônes du rock! La formation ne s’est pas contentée de ses propres succès et a surpris la foule avec une série de reprises, des classiques du rock’n’roll. Le bal des hommages a débuté avec « Electric Funeral » de Black Sabbath, agrémenté d’un mini solo de Noodles (Kevin John Wasserman). Le groupe a ensuite enchaîné avec « Paranoid », aussi de Black Sabbath, puis « Crazy Train » de Ozzy Osbourne, rendant hommage au « Prince of Darkness ».
Dans un clin d’œil audacieux, ils ont même intégré un extrait de « In the Hall of the Mountain King » du compositeur norvégien Edvard Grieg, preuve que le classique peut parfaitement trouver sa place dans un concert punk! Ils ont aussi joué « I Wanna Be Sedated » des Ramones accompagnés de leur mascotte le Gorille.
La soirée s’est poursuivie avec un impressionnant solo de batterie signé Brandon Pertzborn, avant que Dexter Holland ne s’installe au piano pour interpréter « Hey Jude » des Beatles. Sous les lumières des téléphones brandis par les spectateurs, l’ambiance était tout simplement magique et chargée d’émotion.
UNE SURPRISE NOSTALGIQUE
La foule survoltée, le groupe joue « Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) », extrait de l’album Americana. Et là, surprise de la soirée Guy Cohen, l’acteur emblématique du vidéoclip, fait une apparition remarquée sur scène, déclenchant une vague de folie et de nostalgie. Dans l’euphorie du moment, le groupe invite même les spectateurs déguisés à monter sur scène, transformant le moment en véritable fête collective digne du clip original.

À l’approche de la fin du spectacle, tout juste avant le rappel, un gigantesque drapeau du Québec s’est déployé au parterre. Porté par la foule, le moment était saisissant et profondément émouvant. Une image forte qui restera gravée dans ma mémoire et qui a fait vibrer tout l’amphithéâtre! Pour le rappel, le groupe a enchaîné avec trois chansons, le spectacle compte au total 23 titres issus de leurs 40 dernières années de carrière. Entre surprises, reprises, un gorille, les jeux de lumière, etc., THE OFFSPRING a offert un concert mémorable.

HYMNES CULTE, UNE SOIRÉE GRAVÉE DANS LES MÉMOIRES
La soirée du 21 février 2026 au Centre Bell restera gravée dans les mémoires des fans de punk rock. Entre l’énergie brute de BAD RELIGION, l’intensité et les hommages rock de THE OFFSPRING, les spectateurs ont vécu plus de deux heures de pur chaos musical et de nostalgie. Des hymnes emblématiques aux reprises du classique rock, des apparitions inattendues à l’engouement collectif autour du drapeau du Québec, chaque moment a contribué à créer une expérience unique. Ce concert a été bien plus qu’un simple show, c’était une célébration de quarante années de punk californien, de passion et de communion avec le public.

BAD RELIGION sera la tête d’affiche du festival ENVOL & MACADAM, qui se tiendra du 10 au 12 septembre 2026 à l’Agora du Port de Québec.

On February 21, 2026, the Bell Centre took a trip back to the 90s with skate-pop-punk band THE OFFSPRING, who were on their SUPERCHARGED Worldwide tour, accompanied by BAD RELIGION.
Whether on the floor or in the stands, the crowd was wild -– with a capacity of 21,000, there wasn’t an empty seat in the Bell Centre. The two Californian bands were eagerly awaited, and the audience’s enthusiasm matched the event.
BAD RELIGION, a masterful punk performance!
The band kicked off the evening with “Recipe for Hate,” followed by “Them and Us” and then “Los Angeles Is Burning,” immediately setting the tone for the night.
True to their fast and incisive style, the Californian band treated the audience to a solid set list of 19 of their greatest hits. For over an hour, the punk pioneers played song after song without a break. Essential classics politically charged anthems, and choruses sung along by the fans. The musical precision, impeccable vocal harmonies, and raw energy on stage reminded us why BAD RELIGION remains an essential punk reference!
They bowed out with the classic “American Jesus,” giving the audience one last powerful moment, sung along by the fans. Before leaving the stage, bassist Jay Bentley made a point of addressing a message of thanks to the Montreal crowd. It was a simple goodbye, but one filled with gratitude, bringing a solid performance to a beautiful close.
A new album in the works?
YES! The band has been in the studio since February 2025 recording a new album. It will be the follow-up to Age of Unreason (2019), but there is no official release date yet!
40 years of chaos in 1 hour and 46 minutes: THE OFFSPRING hits hard
The band kicked off the evening with “Come Out and Play,” and from the very first notes, the audience went wild. They followed that with “All I Want,” “Want You Bad,” and “Looking Out for #1,” playing one hit after another. At the beginning of “Hammerhead,” two huge blue skeletons occupied each corner of the stage, evoking the cover of the album SUPERCHARGED and adding a solid aesthetic to the scene.
When punk celebrates rock icons!
The band didn’t settle for their own hits and surprised the crowd with a series of covers of rock ‘n’ roll classics. The tribute began with Black Sabbath’s “Electric Funeral,” featuring a mini solo by Noodles (Kevin John Wasserman). The band then followed up with “Paranoid,” also by Black Sabbath, and then “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne, paying tribute to the “Prince of Darkness.”
In a bold nod, they even incorporated an excerpt from Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King,” proving that classical music can fit perfectly into a punk concert! They also played “I Wanna Be Sedated” by the Ramones, accompanied by their mascot, the Gorilla.
The evening continued with an impressive drum solo by Brandon Pertzborn, before Dexter Holland sat down at the piano to perform “Hey Jude” by The Beatles. Under the lights of the phones held aloft by the audience, the atmosphere was simply magical and charged with emotion.
A nostalgic surprise
With the crowd going wild, the band played “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” from the album Americana. Then came the surprise of the evening: Guy Cohen, the iconic actor from the music video, made a remarkable appearance on stage, triggering a wave of madness and nostalgia. In the euphoria of the moment, the band even invited costumed audience members to come on stage, transforming the moment into a collective celebration worthy of the original video.
I remember
As the show drew to a close, just before the encore, a gigantic Quebec flag was unfurled in the audience. Carried by the crowd, the moment was striking and deeply moving. Cult anthems, an evening etched in memory
The evening of February 21, 2026, at the Bell Centre will remain etched in the memories of punk rock fans. Between the raw energy of BAD RELIGION and the intensity and rock tributes of THE OFFSPRING, the audience experienced more than two hours of pure musical chaos and nostalgia. From iconic anthems to classic rock covers, unexpected appearances to collective enthusiasm around the Quebec flag, every moment contributed to creating a unique experience. This concert was much more than just a show; it was a celebration of forty years of Californian punk, passion, and communion with the audience.
THE OFFSPRING will be at FESTIVENT, which will take place from July 30 to August 2, 2026, in Lévis.
BAD RELIGION will headline the ENVOL & MACADAM festival, which will take place from September 10 to 12, 2026, at the Agora du Port de Québec.
