KREATOR + SEPULTURA + DEATH ANGEL + SPIRIT WORLD| L’OLYMPIA | MONTREAL | 09.06.2023

Quelle solide nuit de musique métal où la tournée Klash Of The Titan s’est arrêtée dans la belle salle L’Olympia de Montréal. Terminant près d’un mois de voyage intense en Amérique du nord, les 4 groupes étaient attendu de pied ferme devant une foule à guichets fermés!

SPIRIT WORLD
La tâche d’ouverture a été confiée à des musiciens d’expérience qui ont créé leur propre vision alternative : SPIRIT WORLD. C’est avec des couleurs rétro et brillantes, qu’ils démarrent en force leurs rythmes infusés de thrash / western spaghetti.

Si ce mix semble non polaire, laissez-les vous prouver le contraire. Cela a également semblé frapper tout droit dans le cœur de la foule qui criait de plus en plus fort après chaque chanson.

DEATH ANGEL
Faisant partie de l’ère originale du « Bay Area Thrash », ces musiciens chevronnés qui n’ont plus rien à prouver et ont traversé des épreuves considérables, ont donné un très bon spectacle.

Spectacle auquel les fans s’attendaient : c’est-à-dire lourd, dynamique et musicalement axé sur la puissance de leurs (plus de) 30 ans d’existence. Tout comme leur prédécesseur, ce fut trop court!

SEPULTURA
Ces vétérans de la scène métal qui n’ont pas besoin d’introduction, ont été accueillis par un public chanteur, les mains hautement levées et bien sûr, ponctué de drapeaux brésiliens.

C’est dans l’énergie et l’intensité, qu’ils ont rendu la tâche facile pour les « bodysurfers » de se promener au-dessus de la foule, surtout avec une liste de chansons si bien balancée. Dépouillé d’effets visuels comparativement aux autres groupes, SEPULTURA n’a pas eu besoin de plus pour créer une bonne performance et soutenir l’ambiance pour la suite.

KREATOR
Enfin, KREATOR ont pris la scène sous les yeux vigilants de leur gigantesque démon géant gonflé. Forts et sombres, ils ont joué 11 chansons représentant presque leurs 4 décennies de musique et ce dans un rapide temps de 60 minutes.

Connu pour leur rigueur et non pour la douceur, leur chanteur Mille Petrozza a quand même pris le temps de s’adresser à la salle bondée à plusieurs reprises, solidifiant ainsi un fort lien fort avec les fans de Montréal. 

Cette soirée qui s’est passé en un coup d’éclair malgré ses 4,5 heures de nouvelle et ancienne version du thrash nous a rendu quasi insatiable…

What a solid night of heavy music where the Klash Of The Titan tour stopped in the beautiful L‘Olympia of Montreal. Closing on more than a month of intense traveling in north America, these four bands were expected by an eager sold-out crowd.

SPIRIT WORLD
The opening task was given to these experienced musicians in an alternate vision that is SPIRIT WORLD. With a retro and vivid colors, they kick start their fast pace thrash/western spaghetti infused rhythms. If that sounds non-polar, let them prove you wrong. That also seemed to hit right with the crowd who cheered loader after every song. 

DEATH ANGEL
Part of the original bay area thrash era, these old seasoned musicians who have nothing left to prove and have been through enough hardship, gave a very good show that the fans could expect, in which can be described as hard and musically power-driven as their more than 30 years of experience can pilled. Like their predecessor, this was again too short!

SEPULTURA
These veterans that need no introduction, were greeted with sing-a-longs, hands held high and of course, Brazilian flags. With all energy and intensity, they made it easy for bodysurfers to come forward especially with the well balanced setlist! Stripped back on the visual effect, compared to the other bands, SEPULTURA did not need more to create a good performance and sustained the atmosphere for what came next.

KREATOR
Finally, KREATOR took the stage under the watchful eyes of their giant inflated demon. Loud and in darkness, they played 11 songs representing their almost 4 decades of music in a 60 minutes fast set. Know for their hardness et not for being soft, singer Mille Petrozza took time to talk to the packed venue many times, solidifying the strong bond with the Montreal fans once again.

This evening seemed to get by like lightning that after 4.5 hours of this new and old thrash version, it felt almost unsatiable…
